Solar finance originator

Origination end to end, from quote to lender offer.

ArkFlow is solar finance origination software for South Africa. Proposal, application, document pack, underwriting and prequalification, then a packaged submission to the banks, with offers coming back to the same deal.

Free to start. No card required.

How origination runs, stage by stage.

Each stage produces exactly what the next one needs. Nothing is retyped between the proposal and the bank.

01

Financial proposal

A solar quote becomes a bankable financial proposal with asset finance, rental, rent-to-own, subscription and PPA priced side by side. The client accepts a structure, not a sales pitch.

See the proposal generator
02

Guided application

A stage-by-stage client application instead of a wall of empty fields. The client is prompted for exactly what the deal needs, under your brand throughout.

03

The document pack reads itself

Around 70 document types are read and verified automatically: company registrations, bank statements, financials, bills. Fields fill themselves in with confidence scoring, and the client confirms anything the scan is unsure about.

04

Underwriting and prequalification

Affordability, credit scorecard and KYC screening, with bank statement and financial statement analysis and a debt-service read on commercial deals. Weak applications are caught before a lender ever sees them.

05

Lender packaging and submission

The deal is packaged into the format a credit team expects and routed to the client’s own bank, your own lenders, or the ArkFlow panel, reaching South African banks including FNB, Absa, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Investec.

06

Offers come back to the deal

Offers land against the deal with a lender portal view and a per-deal share link. The client compares and selects, a contract is drafted, and the first milestone payment is released.

Why EPCs originate on ArkFlow.

One application, many funders

The client applies once and the packaged deal can be tested against several funding routes, instead of one bank at a time by email.

You stay the originator

Every client-facing page carries your brand. You originate the deal and keep the relationship; the licensed lender does the formal underwriting and carries the credit risk.

Free until a deal funds

The origination side costs nothing: proposals, the application, prequalification and lender submission are free. ArkFlow adds a 1% success fee to the BOQ only where a deal funds through its lender panel.

Solar finance origination FAQs

What is a solar finance originator?+

A solar finance originator turns a solar quote into a fundable deal and connects it to a lender. That means packaging the client, the equipment and the supporting documents into one application, prequalifying it, and submitting it to banks or specialist funders so the client can compare offers. ArkFlow is origination software that runs that whole flow for South African EPCs and installers.

What does solar finance origination software do?+

Solar finance origination software runs the deal from proposal to lender offer in one system. On ArkFlow that is an indicative proposal with every structure priced, a guided client application, a document pack that reads itself, affordability, credit scorecard and KYC screening, and a packaged submission to the bank, with offers coming back against the deal.

Which banks can ArkFlow submit a solar deal to?+

A packaged deal can be routed to the client’s own bank, the EPC’s own lenders, or the ArkFlow lender panel. South African banks that can sit behind those routes include FNB, Absa, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Investec. The lender does the formal underwriting and makes the offer.

How does prequalification work?+

Prequalification screens the deal before any lender sees it. ArkFlow runs affordability, a credit scorecard and KYC screening, analyses bank statements and financial statements, and produces a prequalification report, so an application reaches a credit team complete and coherent rather than bouncing back for missing information.

Do I need a credit licence to originate solar finance?+

No. As an originator you package and submit the deal; the licensed lender does the underwriting, issues the offer and carries the credit risk. Indicative figures shown during origination are indicative only and not a credit offer.

What does origination cost an EPC?+

Nothing to start. The owner account is free forever with proposals, the client application and lender submission included, and no card is required. Where a deal funds through the ArkFlow lender panel, 1% of capex is added to the BOQ as a stated line and invoiced pro-rata as the lender releases each payment. Deals funded through your own lenders carry no deal fee.

Can I use my own lenders instead of the ArkFlow panel?+

Yes. Every deal can be routed to the client’s own bank, to lenders you already work with, or to the ArkFlow panel, and you can keep all three routes open on the same deal. Deals funded outside the panel carry no success fee.
